Description
Over 100 years of history
Bodegas Bleda S.L., founded in 1915, is one of the oldest wineries in Jumilla. It was a pioneer in bottling wine, as demonstrated by our Oro Viejo wine, a solera from 1902, which in 1929 won the Gold Medal for bottled wine at the Barcelona International Exhibition.
With four generations of winemakers and vineyard owners, Bleda has, since 2008, modern facilities located in the Paraje de Omblancas, surrounded by its vineyards and set in a unique environment offering panoramic views of much of Jumilla’s beautiful landscape (Sierra del Buey, Sierra del Carche, Sierra de Santa Ana) and even the Jumilla Castle atop the town.
Bleda’s hallmark is the Monastrell grape, cultivated over 250 hectares.
Winery Visits
Bodegas Bleda offers a comprehensive, engaging, and highly informative tour of its facilities and vineyards, including explanations of the winery’s history, current practices, philosophy, and winemaking methods. During the visit, guests can enjoy tastings of their wines, including the historic CASTILLO DE JUMILLA, the well-known DIVUS, the unique PINO DONCEL, and the sweet wine AMATUS. Tours are available in Spanish and English.
