Description
Founded in 1934, Bodegas BSI is the result of a collective effort and the union of hundreds of cooperative members. Today, it stands as one of the leading wine producers within the Jumilla P.D.O
This solid winery has built its success on the Monastrell grape, boasting the largest area of ungrafted Monastrell vines, and on a firm commitment to environmental respect, innovation and social responsibility within the territory.
Bodegas BSI knows wine tourism and personal experiences around wine as an essential part of the wine sector and its cultural heritage.
BSI was a pioneer within the Jumilla P.D.O. in opening its doors to visitors, offering a wide range of engaging activities such as guided tours, tastings, gastronomy, routes, events and concerts. This has made it one of the most visited wineries on La Ruta del Vino de Jumilla and a benchmark for wine tourism in the region.
Among its most successful activities is “Harvest with the Family” (Vendimia en Familia). BSI was the first winery in Jumilla to offer this experience, and its success has been overwhelming, so much so that by the end of each harvest season, nearly 70% of the following year’s capacity is already booked. Another highlight is “Music Among Wines”, an event that brings together over 400 guests edition after edition, combining music, landscape and BSI’s outstanding wines in a unique setting.
In parallel, BSI offers its facilities for a wide variety of leisure and celebratory events, including anniversaries, weddings, family celebrations, corporate events, conferences, seminars, training courses and product launches. BSI also works closely with the Jumilla Town Hall, the Regional Government, and local civil society, playing an active and committed role within the community.
BSI’s versatile facilities cover more than 23,000 square metres, including both winery and olive mill. Discovering the heritage of Monastrell, reflected in the weathered hands of veteran winegrowers, the pervasive aroma of fermenting must during harvest time, and the wines born from it, becomes a truly immersive experience at BSI.
Visitors can explore the entire winemaking process, walk among fermentation tanks, visit two ageing cellars, and enjoy the Wine Museum, designed to introduce younger visitors to the history of wine. In addition, BSI offers olive oil tourism experiences, allowing guests to discover how extra virgin olive oil is produced and to taste it.
