Descripción
The result of a joint effort and the union of hundreds of cooperative members, Bodegas BSI, founded in 1934, has established itself as one of the main wine producers in the D.O.P. Jumilla.
A solid winery that bases its success on the Monastrell variety, with the largest extension of this Mediterranean strain on ungrafted vines, and on respect for the environment, innovation and social involvement with the territory.
Bodegas BSI understands wine tourism and personal experiences around wine as an essential part of the wine sector and its culture.
The winery is a pioneer in D.O.P. Jumilla in opening its doors to visitors with interesting activities: visits, tastings, gastronomy, routes, events, concerts… which has led it to be one of the most visited wineries on the Jumilla Wine Route and to be a benchmark for wine tourism.
Among the most successful activities that visitors demand is Family Harvest. BSI was a pioneer in offering this activity in Jumilla and its success is resounding. So much so that, at the end of the harvest of one year, they already have reserved for the next about 70% of the capacity. Another of the relevant activities is Music among Wines, where they receive more than 400 guests edition after edition, in this event that links music, environment and the excellent wines of BSI.
In parallel, BSI offers its spaces for different recreational/festive events, such as anniversaries, weddings, family celebrations, company events, conferences, seminars, training courses, product presentations… Likewise, BSI actively collaborates with the Jumilla City Council, with the Regional Government and with the civil society of Jumilla, of which it is a part and is a main actor.
BSI’s versatile facilities lend themselves to this, with more than 23,000 square meters built between the winery and the oil mill. Unraveling the heritage that Monastrell represents, which can be glimpsed in the furrows of the skin of the oldest winegrowers, in the aroma of must that invades everything at harvest time and in the wines that are born from it, becomes a whole experience thanks to BSI.
In its facilities, the wine tourist can see the entire winemaking process, walk among its tanks, visit its two aging warehouses and enjoy the wine museum that brings the little ones closer to the history of wine. In addition, BSI offers olive oil tourism experiences to learn how extra virgin olive oil is made and taste it.
